This map guide is a bi-fold brochure designed to showcase Binghamton’s hidden gem, Antique Row. Antique Row is a group of various antique shops on the historic Clinton Street. The vintage-feeling typefaces and earthy, sage neutrals reflect the essence of the antiquity/passing of time/passing on history. It features a hand-drawn map highlighting the relative locations of each antique shop on Clinton Street. In reality, these shops are located sparsely along Clinton St. with an accurate map inside. Using this hand-drawn map instead of an accurate map on the outside attracts the user and entices them to take a look. Additionally, the map guide holds information regarding each store with details about hours, contact, and location, as well as a key with additional information.
The website was later created as a digital asset, reusing the visual identity created for the map and providing a more interactive version. However, upon its creation one store has since shut down—I chose to keep it in order to reflect the original Antique Row, and further embrace the idea of change that comes with the passing of time.
