Onigiri Fundraiser
Triptych set of posters made to advertise BUJA’s onigiri fundraiser. Modeled after the poster by Alexander Gelmanmade for Biblio’s Poetry Reading created for a course, Graphic Design I.
Inspired by how the image took precedence in the work with overlapping text, I followed the same very simplified, straight-forward concept. I drew inspiration from my own student organization that was hosting an onigiri (Japanese rice ball) fundraiser. I experimented with having the text wrap around the onigiri itself, but preferred the look of the small paragraphs of text. The text along the path of the image took away from the effect and made it feel too constrained, while having the text overlap meant the imagined box would be broken out of.
Gyoza Fundraiser

Ghost House
Graphics and sticker designed for BUJA’s largest Fall ‘22 semester event, Ghost House, a haunted house built by my organization inside an event space. Includes announcement post, promotional/informational stories, and stickers that were handed out upon completion of the haunted house.
Countdown Series
Series of four posts (2 slides each), counting down to BUJA’s major fall semester event, Winter Matsuri which is a Japanese festival featuring cultural activities, games, and food. This series provides some historical information about different aspects of Japanese culture to excite attendees for what is to come.
