This is an exploration and analysis of the typeface family Montserrat by Julieta Ulanovsky. She was inspired by the neighborhood of Montserrat in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she studied the urban typography of old posters and signs that have defined this community for years.
My type specimen creates a visually stimulating but simple identity for Montserrat, capturing the essence of its namesake neighborhood through bold blocks of color providing a simple structure with yellow accents that glow against primary teal color.
